HERE IS SOME BASIC INFORMATION FOR 1st YEAR STUDENTS

Your study programme obliges you to participate in a foreign language course for specific purposes designed for your field of study.
• The language class begins in the second year (with a few exceptions of fields where it begins in the first year).
• The language class ends in an examination at B2 level.
• If you participate in 2 language classes, one of them ends in an examination at B2 level.
We designed a placement test checking your language skills to help you choose the language and the level. To complete the test, visit https://moodle.umk.pl/SPNJO/
To access the test you have to log in at http://www.ucntn.umk.pl/mdllogowanie.html
When you first log in Moodle, you should set up your profile and include the following information:
name and surname
e-mail
town/city
description (you can enter any word/s)
consent for the processing of personal data
You will find descriptions of placement tests including percentage score and language scales in the introduction to relevant placement tests in Moodle.
We invite you to join one of our paid courses dedicated to students at a student price, e.g. catch-up courses.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSE FOR BEGINNERS

The course is intended for admin staff at Nicolaus Copernicus University, who prefer learning a language spread over time on a less intensive basis.
Course goals:
- communicating in English at work, e.g. telephoning (providing information, answering calls) and in everyday life, interact in English at work and conduct a small talk when e.g. dealing with foreign students or accepting foreign guests.
- corresponding in a simple way (e.g. emailing)
Duration: 25 hours per semester (2 semesters)

SUMMER COURSE OF RUSSIAN ABROAD
